We work closely and have developed strong relationships with a variety of local planning authorities and other 3rd party agencies.
Visual Tree Assessments (VTA)
There are many reasons you might require an assessment of your trees, whilst Health and Safety is a primary concern, forward planning and estate management are also strong considerations.
As landowners, there is a legal obligation that you should take care to ensure your trees do not cause harm or damage to people or property.
Visual Tree Assessments enable you to manage and maintain your trees proactively. Conducted at ground level, our qualified arborists use a variety of means to measure and assess the trees such as; laser height measuring equipment, binoculars, sounding hammers and probes.
The Visual Tree Assessment Report will include:
- Common and Latin name
- Height, Crown Spread diameter at 1.5m
- Age Classification
- Physiological Condition
- Structural Defects
- Recommended action with a schedule of work if required

Tree Preservation Orders (TPO)
A tree preservation order (TPO) is a part of town and country planning in the United Kingdom. A TPO is made by a local planning authority to protect specific trees or a group of trees, from deliberate damage and destruction, if those trees are important for the amenity of the area.
TPOs make the wilful damage to trees without the permission of the local planning authority an illegal offence. Our experienced and qualified arborist can advise you on the correct protocol for working on trees with TPOs and trees located within conservation areas.
